Homeless Mats 2025

At Washington Parish's 5th Sunday service on March 30, 2025, we celebrated completing our 50th homeless mat. Halesworth UWF members prepare the mats by cutting plastic bags and making plarn balls.

Pat Young has crocheted most of the mats while watching TV. The mats have been donated to RAM House, Rescue Mission, and recently Redwood UMC's Warming Shelter.

 

Each mat uses 1500 plastic bags. Rev. Jeffery White displayed the 50th mat and congratulated Pat.
