Operation Christmas Joy 2023

Operation Christmas Joy is a program provided by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. In collaboration with Franklin County Public Schools, the program finds families in each of the county’s schools in need of assistance this Christmas.

The program, now in its 8th year, started as Operation Christmas Tree before changing to Operation Christmas Joy in 2020. In earlier years, the Sheriff’s office sold Christmas trees to raise money to purchase toys and other gifts for children.

The program now relies solely on donations from the public to provide funding to purchase the gifts each year.

In all, this year’s Operation Christmas Joy, which was held on Dec 20, 2023, helped 32 families including 100 children.

Halesford United Methodist Church was one of those public support whose members volunteered their time, funds, and Christmas Spirit to help purchase gifts for those families in need.

Thanks to God for the items provided to those in need.

Please let it be a blessing and an inspiration to those in need and to know that better days are ahead with good people who care and with God’s Blessing Hands upon us all.
